Marek Zelechowski graduated in 2014 from Warsaw University of Technology (Poland) with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Besides his studies, he worked as a Field Service Engineer for Philips Healthcare with patient monitoring systems, where he later pursued his Master thesis for his first Master degree in Biomedical Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology. In parallel, he completed a second Master in Biomedical Engineering at Cranfield University (UK). For his Master thesis with the title “Hybrid modelling of the sensory feedback in human lower limb nerve for bidirectional neuroprosthesis” he collaborated with the Translational Neural Engineering Lab at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland). During his Master studies, he specialized on medical devices development, 3D modelling, motion tracking systems for gait analysis, and wearable health monitoring devices design. After finishing his Master degrees with excellent grades, he joined the Field Installation Team of Philips Healthcare for the EMEA region, where he worked until October 2016.
Since July 2017, Marek Zelechowsk is PhD student in the group of Prof. Philippe Cattin at the Department of Biomedical Engineering in Allschwil. His project in the Planning and Navigation group of the MIRACLE project deals with the three dimensional visualization of medical imaging data sets and the robotic endoscope of MIRACLE in augmented reality.
