From 23 to 27 Juni, 21 PhD students of Biomedical Engineering and of the PhD Program Health Sciences joined our summer school on science communication. The week was packed with input sessions on storytelling, delivering the message, and production time. During the production time, students worked alone or in groups on their own projects that they presented at our mini science festival.
Over the course of the week, the PhD students worked in small groups to produce their own communication materials on a variety of exciting topics.
Applying what they had learned in the sessions led by high profile experts in the field of scientific communication, they created as much different media as their imaginations would allow.
The mini science festival at the end of the week included not only short videos, animations and presentations in the spirit of a science slam, but also comedy sketches and game show parodies.
