What a Week for Functional Biomechanics!

DBE

Leon Schooff of the Functional Biomechanics team won the AMTI Best Experimental Study Award at the 2024 Congress of the German Society of Biomechanics in Heidelberg with maximum scores in all categories. Linda Bühl and Eleonora Croci won travel scholarships and Linda Bühl and Jeremy Genter are finalists for the young investigator award.

The Functional Biomechanics team was well presented at the conference. Leon Schooff’s paper „Medial compartment cartilage composition correlates with the knee flexion moment during walking in the ACL injured knee“ was co-authored by Simon Herger, Corina Nüesch, Wolfgang Wirth, Florian Imhoff, Christian Egloff, and PI Annegret Mündermann, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation SNSF, and supported by project partner Chondrometrics GmbH!

Congratulations also to Linda Bühl and Eleonora Croci for winning travel scholarships and to Linda Bühl and Jeremy Genter for being finalists for the young investigator award!

A few days earlier, Simon Herger and Annegret Mündermann presented other parts of the same project at the World Congress of the Osteoarthritis Research Society International in Vienna where Annegret was honored as Outstanding Reviewer of the Year for the society's journals Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Open and gave the highly regarded invited presentation “2024 Year in Review on OA and Biomechanics”.
