The University Council has appointed Prof. Sangeux as Adjunct Professor of experimental medicine, with the simultaneous transfer of his teaching authorization. He was one of six academics granted adjunct professorships within the Faculty of Medicine last week.

Sangeux leads the Computational movement analysis research group at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, which uses biomechanical analysis and statistical learning methods to study human movement. In particular, his research investigates the neural control of movement and its biomechanical effects on the human body.

He also serves as Technical Director of the Centre for motion analysis at the University Children’s Hospital Basel (UKBB).
