Dr. Constanze Pfeiffer has been a research coordinator at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Basel in Switzerland since the beginning of 2018. From 2007 to 2018, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher and project leader in the Medical Anthropology Research Group at the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health of the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute in Basel, Switzerland. From 2009 to 2013, she was based at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, where she co-led a multi-country study focusing on the reproductive health of teenage girls in Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire.
