Determination of Optimal Procedures for Analysis of Expired Breath by Secondary Electrospray Ionization-Mass Spectrometry (DOPAEx): a Pilot Study
Breath analysis by secondary electrospray ionization high-resolution mass spectrometry (SESI-HRMS) allows to obtain comprehensive metabolic information non-invasively and in real-time. However, evidence on stability of measurements across multiple sites is missing, but crucial for its implementation in clinical settings and multi-center studies.
The aim of this study is to evaluate reproducibility and repeatability of standardized breath analysis by SESI-HRMS within and between multiple subjects and sites.
