Abstract
Coating of implants with titanium holds a lot of challenges, depending on the substrate and the required coating morphology. This talk will show some of these challenges, explain aspects of production technology including the coating process and will show some latest developments in implants. Also, some aspects about anti-bacterial coatings will be covered.

Biosketch
Harald Holeczek worked in research for electrochemistry and battery technology for 30 years before joining Medicoat 7 years ago. He is managing the titanium powder business at Medicoat and is working with anti-bacterial coatings as well.
