DBE and European Society of Coloproctology Collaborate in International Multicenter Study
Dr. Anas Taha, a member of Prof. Cattin’s group Center for medical Image Analysis & Navigation (CIAN), has established a new collaboration with the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) cohort studies team. In this collaboration, data is shared with researchers to be used in an international multicenter study about “Development of a Machine Learning-Based Model to Optimize Anastomosis Configuration in Right Hemicolectomy for Minimizing Postoperative Anastomotic Leakage”. The study aims to develop a machine learning-based model to choose the best anastomosis configuration, thereby minimizing the risk of complications.
