PD Dr. Claudia Lenz has been honored with the Emilie Louise Frey Prize for her habilitation thesis on the visibility of MRI findings in victims of strangulation and their relevance to forensic medicine.
Named after the first woman to study and earn a doctorate at the University of Basel, the prize is presented each year on Dies Academicus to recognize an outstanding master’s thesis, doctoral dissertation, or habilitation thesis submitted by a woman at the University of Basel. Sponsored by the Basel section of the Swiss Association of Female Academics (Schweizerischer Verband der Akademikerinnen ), the award seeks to support emerging female researchers and encourage more women to pursue scientific careers.
With this distinction, Claudia Lenz serves as an inspiring role model within our department for future generations of female scholars.
