Dr. phil. Reinhard Wendler is head of communication at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and at the Faculty of Medicine. He holds a PhD in Art History from Humboldt-University Berlin and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Science Journalism of M.A.Z. Institut für Journalismus und Kommunikation Luzern. In 2019 he successfully raised funding from the SNSF Agora Scheme and organized and curated the Exhibition "Bewegte Einblicke / Inside Motion" at the Pharamziemuseum Basel. At the DBE, he is responsible for all things external communication (strategy, website, social media, texting, photo and video production, printed matters etc). He also is concerned with internal communication channels to complement internal scientific communication. 

At the Medical Faculty, Wendler is responsible for the general communication strategy, websites and social media channels, development of new formats and parts of the internal communication.
