Research Projects

Calorimetry goes far beyond a clinical thermometer: it detects minute heat releases that reveal metabolic processes with time resolution, allowing events to be tracked from onset to completion. Combined with non-invasive, label-free techniques such as laser spectroscopy or biochemical assays, it provides real-time insight into molecular interactions and is a powerful tool for testing drugs, implant coatings, and antimicrobial properties.
Our long-term goal is to develop miniaturized, adaptable calorimeters in collaboration with industry and to integrate calorimetry with complementary techniques to deliver richer, real-time information across biological, chemical, and material applications.
