The NeuroImaging Analysis Group (NIAG), led by Dr. Martin Styner at the University of Basel is a subunit of the Center for medical Image Analysis & Navigation (CIAN). The group focuses on developing and applying novel neuroimaging methods as well as open source software tools for the analysis of structural and diffusion MRI data. Neuroimaging applications of these methods are aimed at neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorder, in particular Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Alzheimer’s Disease, with the goal towards better understanding and the discovery of disorder subtypes for the generation of personalized intervention plans.
