Dr. Céline Tourbier
Background and Research Interest
Céline Tourbier is a dedicated dentist and aspiring Craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgeon, currently, affiliated with the Swiss Medical Additive Manufacturing research group at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Basel. Her work is central to the progression of 3D printing technology in CMF surgery.
With a dentistry degree earned from Albert-Ludwigs-University in 2020, Céline is now pursuing a medical degree, expected to conclude in 2025. Prior to this, she enriched her expertise as a research fellow at AO Foundation, delving into the roles of Bone-Morphogenetic-Proteins and their Regulator in human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell differentiation.
She is currently directing her research efforts by actively contributing to clinical studies to enhance care for CMF surgery applications. She lends her expertise to the clinical studies team, diligently assessing clinical outcomes to additionally refine the treatment of injuries related to the CMF region. With her dedication to the field of CMF surgery, she aspires to improve patient outcomes and quality of life by leveraging the power of 3D printing technology to provide personalized care.
