In the second semester of the Master studies in Biomedical Engineering, one of the two modules Biomaterials Science and Nanotechnology or Image Guided Therapy must be completed. For both modules four courses of a choice of five mandatory courses must be selected.

In addition to that, one course (2 ECTS) in Ethics or Regulatory Affairs must be completed and one course (2 ECTS) can be selected from the University Course Catalogue.

The two modules of the second semester contain the following compulsory courses:

Biomaterials Science and Nanotechnology:
Biomedical Acoustics, Cells and Technologies in Regenerative Surgery, Digital Dentistry, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Materials in Medicine (all relevant courses)

Image-Guided Therapy:
Advanced Methods in Medical Image Analysis, Applied Control, Computer-Assisted Surgery, Laser and Optics in Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
