Ferda Canbaz Elected Member of SSBE Board
Dr Ferda Canbaz is a new board member of the Swiss Society for Biomedical Engineering. The visionary SSBE was already founded in 1970 (!) and is now one of the main motors of biomedical engineering at Swiss universities and companies. It focuses on creating and maintaining a comprehensive network of players in research, education, manufacturing, and politics in and around biomedical engineering.
As member of the board, Canbaz will be responsible for the SSBE Awards: the Research Award, for doctoral or equivalent research, with a CHF 5,000 prize, and the Student Award, for Master's or Bachelor's theses from universities or engineering schools, with a CHF 2,000 prize.
