5th DBE PhD Day: Beyond the base camp
For the fifth year running, PhD students from our department had the opportunity to take part in DBE PhD Day. This 5th edition of the event organized by PhD students for PhD students took place on April 9, 2025 and was once again a great success.
thirty-five of our students attended the event and took this opportunity to spend half a day away from our base camp in Allschwil to visit three of our research facilities at our partner hospitals USB and UKBB. There, they got a behind-the-scenes look at the MRI lab, the 3D Print Lab and the Center of Clinical Motion Analysis.
In the afternoon, doctoral students took part in a number of inspiring presentations given by start-up leaders and organized by the Innovation Office, as well as presentations given by current DBE members and alumni. The day ended with a barbecue, allowing our PhD students to enjoy each other's company in a relaxed atmosphere.
