Key areas of research include using high-energy lasers for precise and safe cutting, developing athermal ablation techniques to prevent tissue damage, and integrating the tool with robotic platforms like Smith & Nephew's handheld systems. The LASER-Blade aims to enhance surgical precision and safety, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
