ARMin V and BRIDGET-therapy
A co-supervised PhD-project of Fabian Just is a collaboration with the SMS-Lab of Prof. Dr. Robert Riener, ETH Zurich and University of Zurich.
This PhD project builds on a well-established arm rehabilitation robot: ARMin. The newest version of ARMin (ARMinV), allows establishing a novel rehabilitation paradigm by bridging robotic and conventional manual therapy of upper lim rehabilitation in stroke patients. The technical concept has therefore been fundamentally overworked in order to make robot-assisted therapy intuitive. In other words, therapists are now enabled to directly interact with the patient through the robot also in force control mode.
