Swiss Robotics Day 2024: Impressions

Around 1000 attendees in the San Francisco Conference Hall of Messe Basel heard opening speeches by the organizers Prof. Georg Rauter, Head of the BIROMED-Lab, and Prof. Aude Billard, Head of LASA laboratory at EPFL and Lead of the Innovation Booster Robotics and Vice-President of the Swiss Robotics Association. Greeting remarks were given by Prof. Andrea Schenker-Wicki, President of University of Basel, and Dr. iur. Lukas Engelberger, Head of the Department of Health at Canton of Basel and Director of Swiss Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Public Health.
The Swiss Robotics Day was coordinated by Dr. Anca Rusu, Program Coordinator at Innovation Booster Robotics. Keynotes were given by Prof. Robert Riener, Full Professor for Sensory-Motor Systems at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zurich, Prof. Gregoire Courtine, Professor at EPFL and Founder of NeuroRestore Research Center and Prof. Jocelyne Bloch, Professor at UNIL and EPFL and Founder of NeuroRestore Research Center, Prof. Manuela Eugster, Group head of ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research, University of Bern, Prof. Dario Floreano, Professor at Laboratory Intelligent Systems at EPFL and Advisory Board Member at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Prof. Marco Hutter, Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, Deputy and Head of Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems at ETH Zurich and Prof. Agathe Koller, Director of ILT Institute for Laboratory Automation and Mechatronics, OST.
