Hervé Succesfully Presented a part of his result in Kobe, Japan
Hervé Nguendon Succesfully Presented a part of his result entitled "Optoacoustic Tissue Differentiation using a Mach-Zehnder Interferometer: Preliminary Results" in IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS), Kobe, Japan, 23rd October 2018.
We welcome our new postdoctoral associate member Dr. Ferda Canbaz starting September 2018.
She received her BS degree in Engineering Physics from Istanbul Technical University in 2011 and Master of Science degree in Optoelectronics and Photonics Engineering Program from Koc University in 2013. In 2018, She received her PhD degree from Koç University in Physics. Her research interests include femtosecond lasers, solid-state lasers in the near- and mid-infrared region, biomedical applications of lasers, laser processing, and nonlinear optics.
Prof. Azhar Zam and Yakub Bayhaqi from the MIRACLE/Biomedical Laser and Optics Group obtained the 1st Place Award for their paper "Neural Network in Tissue Characterization of Optical Coherence Tomography Images for Smart Laser Surgery: A Preliminary Study” in the “Best Oral Presentation" category at the “3rd International Seminar on Photonics, Optics and its Applications/ISPhOA 2018”. Congratulations!
