MR Theory and Sequences
We take advantage of a variety of theoretical frameworks, such as configuration theory, Bloch simulations, or extended phase graphs, to perform spin gymnastics to understand the origin of different phenomena that imprint their peculiarities, properties and characteristics on the MR signal. Understanding the origin of such effects that affect the MR signal not only gives a deeper understanding of the underlying physics but sometimes also leads to the discovery of new contrast mechanism that can subsequently be explored in clinical sciences. Moreover, designing MR sequences also requires a detailed understanding of how an echo or echoes are generated and thus of the underlying signal evolution.
Our engagement in MR theory is reflected by our inventive MR technology development.
