DBE Core Facilities

At the DBD, four Core Facilities are offering advanced scientific services to academia and industry: the 3D-Print Lab, CADENCE, Microcalorimetry, and Micro- and Nanotomography. In addition, the DBE runs a Material Testing Service Unit. These facilities collaborate with all departments within the medical faculty and with external partners like the Universities of Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, York, Tübingen, Amsterdam, Uppsala, ETH Zurich, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology EMPA, Swiss TPH, Agroscope, University Hospital Basel, University Children’s Hospital Basel, FHNW, AO Foundation, Medartis AG, Straumann, Johnson & Johnson and many others. Our Core Facilities offer cutting-edge infrastructure, services, know-how, and unique opportunities for translational research.
